You’ve probably been working with top peers to build innovative technology to solve tough infrastructure problems (in any shape) till this point.

Now you’re looking for more meaning and want to take those finely honed skills and apply them to build societally critical solutions to overlooked problems with the best people of our generation.

You will be working with a diverse team of technologists and operators from companies like Revolut, Stripe, Uber, Google, Monzo, Supercritical, and Palantir.

Role

You’ll be responsible for:

• Contributing to serving millions of underrepresented individuals globally, with a focus on addressing climate change.
• Developing and maintaining a high-performance core infrastructure/banking system.
• Managing integrations with various payments and service providers to streamline clients’ financial processes.
• Integrate with other measurement, reporting, and verification (MRV) solutions.
• Design elegant systems that optimise for speed today, but are flexible enough to scale over time.
• Build an early engineering-first culture that values scientific rigour, pragmatism, learning and teamwork.

Requirements

What you’ll need:

• STEM degree from a top university.
• 3+ years experience in software development.
• Experience in a fast growing start-up and FinTech environment.
• Proficient in JS/TS/CSS, React and web fundamentals.
• Experience in RESTful APIs to connect web applications to back-end services.
• Eye for detail, taste for great UI and care for accessible UX.

• Wants to work on hard, unsolved, and ambitious problems.
• Gets stuff done.
• Understands when to prioritise for speed compared to scale-proof solutions.
• Enjoy nature ⛰️🌊 - we must stay close to communities and projects; most recently we were in the tropical rainforest with cowboys in Panama, in the rice farms with smallholders in Punjab, with coffee farmers in Costa Rica

• You are looking to be fully remote. We are a primarily in-person team where we regularly play sports, have coffees and eat meals together.
• You enjoy structure and only staying within your area of expertise.
• You prioritise creating flawless, scale-proof solutions.
• You are uncomfortable operating with full autonomy, high agency and making (living with) calls made with your own judgement.
• You aren’t mission driven to solve the climate crisis
• You like clean nails - we spend time in the field with the communities who benefit from our work to ensure what we build is the best solution
